Unless otherwise instructed, you may want to cover many of the items listed in this Sample Sublease Agreement

This helps ensure that the sub-lessee understands and agrees to the terms of the sublet. You are still obligated to your landlord. So if the sublessee does not pay, you still are held responsible.

    • Please note: The Off-Campus Life office  has reviewed the Sample Sublease Agreement with representatives from the Metropolitan Tenants Organization (MTO) to provide a quality resource to students. However, students are responsible for their own decisions to use the form, and for ensuring that their use complies with applicable local ordinances, state law, and federal law. Students are encouraged to consult with the MTO directly for any questions or concerns.
